Block Management for landlords: a grey area, that isn’t really
The legislation has been in place since the Building Safety Act 2022 was amended in 2023; landlords who own every flat in a block need to appoint a responsible person to manage that block.

Who’s looking after your buildings and communal areas? If the council check up, are you covered?
This has been law for a while but lots of landlords are still aren’t aware. If you’re one of them, you’re not alone! Lots of people assume that the company managing the individual units is also looking after the building.
Don’t make that assumption. Your property management company won’t box off your block management without being asked, even if it’s a small block. They can’t. It’s a job in itself, with additional responsibilities (and paperwork!).
