If you weren't already aware, landlord licensing is in force in selective areas of Liverpool, Merseyside, the Wirral, and Cheshire.
But what does that mean for you as a landlord, and how does Homesure help?

Here’s the key facts

  • Landlord licensing schemes mean that landlords of rented properties in affected areas need to obtain a licence with the local authority.
  • It doesn’t cover all areas.
  • There may be discounts available for different things, such as being an accredited landlord or agent, EPC ratings etc. Each local authority is different and the exemptions change over time.
  • Each scheme is different, so check the links below to get up-to-date official information from the local authority.

The owners and many of the staff here at Homesure are landlords. We know how impactful licensing is on the finances of landlords, especially at the same time as rising interest rates, minimum energy efficiency (EPC) standards, additional stamp duty, and additional legislation such as electrical certificates (EICR) coming into force in 2021.

We will not be looking at this situation as a moneymaking scheme from our clients.

Any discounts that we receive, like being an accredited agent, we’ll pass on to you.

So, our landlords will save money on their licensing costs, and they won’t have to deal with any of the admin. Win-win!

What do you need to do?

In order to licence your property for you, we need some information that we do not currently hold. If you have a property in the affected areas, we need you to complete this short form with the information we need.

We provide multiple property discounts

If we manage 5+ properties for you, you will receive a discount of 20% on each one, increasing to 30% if we manage of 10 or more.
