Our property investment team

All property investment matters are handled by our directors, Nick Stott and Mark Loughnane, both of whom bring decades of investment expertise to the table whilst also managing their own substantial property portfolios.

Nicholas Stott
Managing Director

About me

  • Nicholas (Nick) is the CEO at Homesure, having started investing in buy-to-let property in 2004 while at the University of Liverpool.
  • After building up a small portfolio, he then started Homesure in 2007 with a business partner initially offering fixed-fee estate agency.
  • When the market crashed in 2008, Homesure moved into lettings and management going on to win multiple awards for outstanding customer service.
  • While continuing to invest in his own buy-to-let portfolio, he has helped grow the managed lettings portfolio to over 1,250 through both organic word-of-mouth growth and acquisitions.
  • Nick also offers property investment consultancy advice to high-net-worth individuals looking to grow their property assets under management.
  • Outside of property, Nick is a non-exec director, leadership coach, a fan of Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club, an animal rights advocate, and a guitarist.
Mark Loughnane
Director

About me

  • Mark is a Director of Homesure, his main area of interest and expertise focusing upon growth and opportunities, particularly within development and investments.
  • He assists developers by creating an exit strategy and installing a block management company, in some instances before ground has even been broken, allowing more favourable funding to be accessed.
  • Mark is the Chairperson of The Liverpool City Council Landlord Advisory Panel, a board member of The North West Property Owners Association and a governor of a local primary school.
  • Outside of property, Mark spends the majority of his time with his young family, and both playing and watching both codes of rugby
  • He likes to spend his money on events & experiences instead of material items. If you’re planning a trip to the cricket or Six Nations then count him in.
