⚠️ Spotting Scam Emails: What You Need to Know

Be aware of scam emails pretending to be from Homesure staff. Always check the sender’s address, be cautious of urgent or unusual requests, and never send money without confirming in person or by phone. When in doubt — check it out.

⚠️ Spotting Scam Emails: What You Need to Know

We’ve seen a rise in scam emails lately — and some of them are pretending to be from Nick, our Director. These messages often ask for urgent favours, like transferring money or buying gift cards.

They may look real, but they’re 100% fake.

👀 Here’s what to watch out for:

📨 Lookalike Email Addresses
Scammers often use slightly misspelled names or Gmail/Hotmail accounts (e.g. nick.stott.homesure@gmail.com) to trick you.
👉 Only trust emails from:

  • @homesureproperty.co.uk

  • @andrewlouis.co.uk

🚨 Urgent Requests = Red Flag
If an email pressures you to do something right now, be suspicious. Scammers rely on panic to get you to skip safety checks.

💸 Money or Gift Card Requests
No one at Homesure will ever ask you to buy gift cards or transfer money out of the blue — especially via email. Always verify these requests in person or by phone.

✅ What to do if you’re unsure:

  1. Stop. Don’t reply.

  2. Check the sender’s full email address.

  3. Call the person directly (not via the number in the suspicious email).

  4. Report it admin@homesureproperty.co.uk immediately.

At Homesure, protecting our people and clients is a top priority. We’d rather you double-check a genuine message than fall victim to a scam.

🧠 Stay alert. Ask questions. And never be afraid to check something — even if it feels awkward.

If you’re unsure, just ask. We’ve got your back.
