Gemma the Born Survivor

Gemma Robertson took part in the Born Survivor 10k challenge to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Whilst it would be easy to say from an armchair that anyone could do 35+ military-grade obstacles over 10km with little to no training, Gemma has approached this with her disciplined and methodical manner.

The most impressive part of Gemma‘s challenge is not the end goal of completing the Born Survivor course. The outcome is nowhere near as impressive as the journey.

Gemma has:

  • Quit smoking
  • Started a rigorous training regime
  • Stuck to a strict diet

This is a prime example of staying committed to doing world-class basics and being consistent in the daily progress towards a clear and defined vision.

In true Gemma style, she raised £330 (above her goal of £250).

In her own words;

“Smashed it haha, was tough but we all had a laugh one team member fractured foot and another torn Achilles tendon but they were still smiling haha”

We’re very proud of Gemma, not just for taking part, raising money, and smashing the course… We’re proud because of the attitude that she has shown and her determination to keep improving. #Kaizen!
